HERITAGE

Nomanbhoy and Sons has pioneered the spices industry as a five-generation family business, proudly carrying forward our legacy of excellence.

Nomanbhoy and Sons stands tall as an emblem of legacy in the world of spices and commodities trading, enriched with a fine history spanning over five generations of the Nomanbhoy's family.

In 1892, our visionary founder, Mr. Nomanbhoy Abdeali, ventured from India to Singapore

into the world of spices. This paved the way for his family’s historic spice trading legacy at 16 Malacca Street in 1914.

1914

Post-World War II, Mr. Abdeali’s son restructured the company

After World War II, Mr. Nomanbhoy Abdeali’s son, Mr. Abbas Nomanbhoy, breathed new life into the company and reimagined the business model with import-export trade.

Late 1930s

The third-generation, led by Mr Moez Nomanbhoy,

expanded across continents bringing forth rich spices and usher into an era of internationalisation that would shape the future.

1960s

Mr. Hanif Nomanbhoy, the fourth-generation, refined the company’s path

focus on the heart of supply chain, nurturing sustainable practices and forged deeper relationships that revolutionized business with the growers.
